Meet the Team through our Speed Dating Round #2
Get to know our experts with our "Speed Dating" Q&A! We’ve asked them some quick, light-hearted questions to give you a glimpse into their personalities, passions, and approach to financial planning. Whether it’s what inspires them or their favourite meal, you’ll discover why they’re dedicated to helping you achieve financial success, plus a few surprises along the way.
What inspired you to work in financial planning, and what do you love most about it?
- I've always been passionate about helping people achieve their goals, and financial planning felt like the perfect way to combine that with strategy and education. What I love most is seeing the real-life impact — whether it’s a client buying their first home, retiring comfortably, or just feeling more confident with money. That feeling is unbeatable.
If you could give your younger self one piece of financial advice, what would it be?
- Diversify from day one. As soon as you start earning an income, start spreading your investments across different asset classes — not just saving cash. Getting comfortable with shares, property, and other investment options early on helps you build a more resilient financial future and puts your money to work from the beginning.
If you weren’t in financial planning, what career would you be in?
- I’d probably be an engineer — I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and building practical solutions. Just like in financial planning, it’s about understanding the moving parts and designing systems that work efficiently to achieve a goal. It’s that same satisfaction of turning complex challenges into clear, actionable outcomes.
What’s one small financial habit that can make a big difference over time?
- Paying yourself first — and keeping your lifestyle in check as your income grows. Automatically splitting your pay into buckets for savings, investing, and essentials helps you stay disciplined.
- The key is not letting your spending rise just because your income does. Stick to your plan, and let the extra income work for your future, not just your present.
What’s one meal you could eat every day and never get sick of?
- Lasagne
If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?
- Tiger Woods, no doubt. His discipline and mindset in golf are unparalleled, and I’d love to hear about his mental approach to overcoming challenges.
- Oprah Winfrey would be an incredible guest too — her insights into life, success, and human connection would make for a powerful conversation.
- And then, Matthew McConaughey. His unique perspective on life and his approach to finding purpose
What’s one thing on your bucket list that you haven’t done yet?
- Play the top five golf courses in the world. From Augusta National to St. Andrews, experiencing those iconic courses would be the ultimate test of my game and an unforgettable adventure. It's a dream to tee off at places with so much history and challenge.
