We have asked Jana some quick, light-hearted questions to give you a glimpse into his personality, passions, and approach to financial planning. From what inspires him to his favourite meal, you will discover why he is dedicated to helping you achieve financial success, with a few surprises along the way.
Q What inspired you to work in financial planning, and what do you love most about it?
Growing up, I saw my parents who migrated to this country work incredibly long hours without access to proper financial guidance. As a result, they made financial decisions they likely would not have made if they had had the kind of advice we provide to clients today. That experience has always stayed with me and ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in financial planning, where I can help others make more informed decisions and achieve financial confidence.
Q If you could give your younger self one piece of financial advice, what would it be?
I would tell myself to learn the value of money early, and more importantly, understand the power of investing as soon as possible. That said, it is just as important not to sacrifice your youth, make sure you travel, enjoy experiences, and create memories along the way.
Q If you were not in financial planning, what career would you be in?
I would have loved a career in either sport or teaching.
Q What is one small financial habit that can make a big difference over time?
Consistently investing, no matter how small the amount can make a significant difference over time through compounding.
Q What is one meal you could eat every day and never get sick of?
Pepperoni pizza.
Q If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?
I would love to have dinner with President Obama, Viv Richards, and Eric Cantona.
Q What is one thing on your bucket list that you have not done yet?
I have a sports travel bucket list, and the next one would be an Ashes test at Lords.
