BY VOSTRO PRIVATE WEALTH

Final Speed Date  •  Series Finale

Managing Partner & Private Client Adviser

To round off our Speed Date series, we’ve saved the best for last. We asked Sam, the director of Vostro Private Wealth, some quick, light-hearted questions to give you a glimpse into his personality, passions, and approach to financial planning. From what inspires him to his favourite meal, you will discover why he is dedicated to helping you achieve financial success, with a few surprises along the way.

Sam, Director at Vostro Private Wealth

What inspired you to work in financial planning, and what do you love most about it?

Helping people really, helping people reach their goals and seeing other people succeed.

If you could give your younger self one piece of financial advice, what would it be?

Start early, and be patient.

If you weren’t in financial planning, what career would you be in?

Always wanted to be a teacher, preferably a PE teacher, of course.

What’s one small financial habit that can make a big difference over time?

Invest in yourself first. Start as early as possible. The amount matters less than the habit. More important is being consistent and regular.

What’s one meal you could eat every day and never get sick of?

Anything over an open fire, whether a T-bone or freshly caught seafood like calamari or swordfish, not forgetting grilled vegetables, with a soft spot for red peppers. Dessert would be struffoli, finished off with a coffee or limoncello.

If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?

Just two for Sam: Mum and Dad, again.

What’s one thing on your bucket list that you haven’t done yet?

Get to a World Cup, and try his hand at farming.

That wraps up our Speed Date series. Thank you for getting to know the faces behind Vostro Private Wealth.
