The Cancer Council Foundation Australia is a community event that raises vital funds to make a big difference for those who are impacted by those who have cancer. Unfortunately, 1 in 2 Australians before the age of 85 are likely to be diagnosed and Cancer Council hopes to bring awareness, support and community in tough times.

Who are the Cancer Council?

The Cancer Council is the largest non-governmental funder of cancer research in Australia, which has invested almost $250 million being invested to help fund research, and that amount is just in the past 5 years.

Now, how does eating yummy snacks relate to curing Cancer?

But you're not alone in your journey! Cancer Council has a few fun initiatives being run including the Cancer Council is 'Australia's Biggest Morning Tea'. Did you know that cervical cancer is the 4th most common cancer affecting women worldwide. Just in Australia, approximately 930 women are expected to be diagnosed this year. However, it isn't all gloom and doom, as Australia is on track to being the first country to eliminate cervical cancer, as soon as 2028! This would not have been possible unless we didn't make contributions that have allowed Cancer Council to fund their research.
