"Speed Dating" Q&A
We've asked some quick, light-hearted questions to give you a glimpse into their personalities, passions, and approach to financial planning. From what inspires them to their favourite meal, you'll discover why they're dedicated to helping you achieve financial success, with a few surprises along the way!
Q What inspired you to work in financial planning, and what do you love most about it?
I have been working in the financial services industry for about 16 years, off and on, and most of that time as part of Vostro. I love being part of a team that is aware of its knowledge and value, in their service and the relationships built with clients and colleagues. I have recently returned in a full-time position.
Q If you could give your younger self one piece of financial advice, what would it be?
Trust the path you are going on. It will all work out. And no, you don't need that many clothes. Put it back!
Q If you weren't in financial planning, what career would you be in?
I have been in social services the past few years and enjoyed that too. I enjoy making a difference in people's lives.
Q What's one small financial habit that can make a big difference over time?
Don't buy lunch every day. (Potentially advice to my younger self too...)
Q What's one meal you could eat every day and never get sick of?
The ever-versatile pasta. Always a winner.
Q If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?
While I enjoy dinner with my family, that's a boring answer... so I would go with Robin Williams, Pink, and Princess Diana.
Q What's one thing on your bucket list that you haven't done yet?
Go back to the Netherlands to visit where I am from, or the potentially easier-to-manage option: swim with whale sharks in WA.
